I know many of you followed my thread in search of upgrading from my 700 C2. We looked at Phenom 100, Mustangs, legacy citations. Regardless, for our typical missions it was just impossible to beat the TBM 850. I really liked the phenom 100. It's just too range limited. Hopefully we will close in the next couple weeks. I'll get some pictures up ASAP.
Hard to let 700AQ go........it was an awesome plane for us.

I park next to a TBM. Such cool looking planes. Congrats on the new one. I'd like to understand the same thing. Given current pricing, I'm starting to think more seriously about a 700A or B. I can't really swing an 850. So if I have an 850 appetite, but a 700 budget, what do I do?

It just climbs better especially in warm weather and in ice. Cruise 30-35 kts faster. Range is about 100 nm better. Starts cooler, G1000, Elite seating on later models. What sn did you buy Michael? Username Protected wrote: What are the main benefits you for between c2 and 850?

I would definately consider the TBM if it wasn't a single.  Seriously though, I love that airplane. Good luck and congratulation.

SN 587. 2011 TBM 850 G1000.
Moved up because my engine was at 3000 hrs. TBO is 3500. We fly 250 hours per year.
Just seemed like the right time to move up. New plane does not have pilots door......I'm going to miss that. New plane has G1000.... I'm going to like that especially back to the GFC 700 autopilot. The C2 has the larger back door which is not on the A or B models.
As Marc has said a little faster, a little better climb. I think range is about the same. On the C2 we had dual GTN 750 with a G600. Nice set up. Integration with autopilot not as smooth as the GFC 700. I flew a G36 prior to the TBM.
I loved our C2. Very reliable all weather plane. Flew us all over continental US and Bahamas. Working on picture....in another file and I'm having a helluva time downloading!?!
