Did anyone say what the range of the Cirrus Jet was with full fuel? I don't think it would be unusual to have a 400 pound payload with 1,200 mile range, ISA with normal winds; that way, one could carry a bit less fuel and more payload. That being said, I think of a jet as go fast/go far. One doesn't want to stop on a three to four hour trip, descend; get fuel; climb again. For instance, Dallas to San Diego should be non-stop.
My P-Baron will do about 1,100NM with 600 pound payload. I'd really like that or a bit more.
Best,
Dave
