I am 6'2" and I have 1000 hours in PA46s with one flight that went 7.5 hours and countless of 5 or so. You do have cockpit choices. One is the seat mod that gives you an extra 2 inches and the other is to modify the seat cushion to place your butt lower so you don't hit your head in turbulence. You learn how to get up front by placing inside foot between seat first. (same as TBM) I believe the piston PA46 design gives you a great deal for the money, especially if range is key. No plane will suit everyone or every mission. To call the PA46 a bad design is to really sell it short and overlook its capabilities.

6'2 and absolutely no issues, at least with the newer aircraft. Figure though, if I get too fat, I'll just stay in the back, in the money seats and hire some time building CFI to fly me around Can really get used to sitting back there. If only I could afford a plane.... and a pilot Attachment: 1 - 1.jpg

I think they are great aircraft so it was very disappointing to feel like a sardine in a can.

You will be extremely happy with the Mirage. I know I am. My Real world numbers are spot on with what Charles Ivester said he gets, same with climb rates etc. I have three kids of which two are teenagers. This plane is perfect for us. I fly a fair amount myself or with one pax. I too am looking into sending it to Jetprop. I have a 2005 model. It's the last year of the Garmin avionics. Call me anytime with any questions 701-400-7067 Cody
