They should have filled up in Orlando and done the return trip back to back to get a good average.

Just curious if taking off over gross is a violation for this flight? I think if I had taken off over MGW I would not post it on the internet but maybe the rules are different or they had some sort of waiver.

I thought they just got some form of certification. Just the Cj1 maybe?

I may be biased, but even with the winglets, I don't think a CJ3 compares to a Phenom 300. I just plugged that trip in fltplan.com, and the Phenom could do it in 4:47 and land with 1003 lbs of fuel. Plus, I always beat the fltplan numbers in both time and fuel remaining.
