Playing in the paper airplane (named by Webb) the other day, Samantha was copilot. We visited a couple grass strips, one new to me. Gopro on the head. Lots of learning in the Gopro editing program, first time for me even though I've had many Gopros (they usually die) More crap learning the Macbook. Not a bad day for flying though :-) Beware, video is seven minutes. My wife said to overlay music but then you couldn't hear the engine and engines are important !! The banging right before touchdown is the Gopro hitting the tubing. I got the SuperStol back in August, 25 hours getting it home, a little over 70 hours total now. https://youtu.be/3DYP90Zh1B8

The yellow airplane looks great. But I'm afraid the red one has suffered some hangar rash and bent the tail forward.

Although I kept wondering: how do those pens stay on the glare shield?
And...
Does that tower have guy wires?!? Haha, the glare shield is only about 1/8" thick so the pocket clip fits perfect an holds the checklist and Rotax operating specs. There is no white glare to my eyes from the windshield. Obviously not good with the camera on my head. The tower is free standing as most like that would be BUT I did walk that strip from one end to the other a couple months back. One conflict is the concrete drive to the tower. A little bumpy but if needed I could roll over it no problem. That is why I held it off until past the concrete. Now on the one in a million chance a work truck is headed to the tower, that's a reason to land before the drive. I was actually only going to fly low down the runway and not land but when you get down there and already slow it's too tempting. At one end there is still a pole barn with a rundown little Cessna and an old 337 that he used to fly out of there. Tight side to side for a 337 but is long. Trees might have encroached over the years . Like my buddy with a Cirrus says, it's just a totally different kind of flying. The day of the video was a low overcast that there is no way the Mooney would have been out unless going somewhere or practicing approaches. Never really noticed the ceiling in this one.

Really fun toy. I wish more people knew how much fun this sort of flying is. The Searey is the same sort of fun combining boating too.
Going from point A to point B in a traveling airplane is a totally different experience!
