All Textron needs to do to compete with Pilatus is build a PC-12 with Garmin avionics. That’s what they’re doing but throwing in more speed and a more efficient fadec engine and coming in at a lower price point to boot. It’s gonna sell well.

And, I do every mission a Phenom 300 does and I haul more while doing it.

Nobody is sitting around trying to decide between buying a PC12 and Phenom 300.

Mike C.

That's where I am. Every month it gets closer and closer to an even up swap on the used market. Same range, same size, single pilot. It's the perfect comparison. Phenom 300 is just a fast PC12.

Unclear on price of the PTT option with the lav.

That's clearly not what I'm talking about. Looks like a frankenlav.

His point is that you have to get to the 300 at 9MM to match the abilities of the PC-12 with a jet. That says a lot.

That's exactly what I'm saying.

PC12 is the most common plane flying.

Phenom 300 is the most common single pilot jet flying.

There's a reason. They're practically the same airplane.

Not quite. One is quite sorta "ugly" and one is still a "clown " plane.

One costs 2X the other.

Which is why a 300+ knot PC12 would eat into $9MM single pilot jet sales.

Bolt in that new 2000 hp PT6 and it should do 300 kts.
Pilatus and Daher wont let Textron loose there market share thats why we will see the super PC12 and a bigger and faster super TBM 1000 before the Denali rolls out.

By that standard, a PC12 is just a "fast" Cessna 208 Caravan.

Phenom 300 is 453 knots, FL450, 2000 nm range, twin jet. While you struggle fighting a 100 knot headwind in the 20s, it is at 450 crossing the ground twice as fast as you with twin jet reliability and quiet.

You are deluding yourself if you think PC12 and Phenom 300 are competing against each other for customers.

Ha. No I'm not. I've been shopping them a long time. The next step up from a PC12 is a Phenom 300.

I actually have a really hard time finding any PC12 owners that have ever gone from PC12 to jet. They just stay with PC12.

Textron lineup should be:

M2
Denali
Single pilot XLS with Garmin 3000

That's all they need on the single pilot front. Scrap everything else.

Once you have a jet, you don't admit to being a past PC12 owner, so this is not surprising.

Why are you on this forum? All of your posts devolve into insults.... every time.

Beautiful plane, beautiful passengers too, short strips and grass at home. NO current jets I’m aware of make these flights in and out of these runways! Great airplane for your home.
