Well I can talk about this one. I am fortunate (insert sarcasm here) enough to have 100 or so hours in this plane. Yes, the guy's last name starts with B and he thought the paint scheme looked good. Yes it does have Colemill 520s. I was lucky. I only had 1 engine failure in the short 10 months I flew it. I'll say this for it, it taught me how to fly a piston twin. Oh and the tower at Tupelo always called me Beech Commander on the radio.

It is probably a 500A converted by Colemill. If so, it would have been originally manufactured with IO-470's and 2-blade props. That's a lot of airplane to haul around on 260 hp a side.

That is right. It is a 1963 500A. It originally came out with continental O-470s. Then Colemill came out with an STC called the Super 300 conversion that changed the engines to IO-520s.
And this particular plane is a pig with two 300 hp engines. It would be down right scary with 260 HP.
