Wait, what? You show him coming up to Seattle. Why would he be coming here? I thought the rumor mill had it going to California.

Rumor mill was CA, but he only ever really said "west coast" from what I recall.

Where he's going, anyone knows...but if I was headed to CA and unable to clear terrain, heading NW wouldn't be my plan, I'd be cutting straight west. Apparently he has/had a hangar at his latest stop, so that could also just be the destination for all we know.

Time will tell.

To avoid disgruntled deposit holders, he's going to live in The CHAZ.

A northern route would have him avoiding the high terrain of the southwest, and the 100-120 degree temperatures. The desert southwest doesn’t cool down very much in the evenings.

Seems like flying only in the AM, so looking like an 8-10 day trip. 4 day drive if you pull 10 hour days.

I don't know that route very well, but how could he have gotten to the west coast without climbing higher than 6,000' by going north?

Once I say him flying NW, I knew he wasn't trying to the west coast.

I still want to know how he was able to fly outside of his test area.

All good questions - knowing that he's relocated to his own hangar in Arkansas, that does change any guesses. Might have just been vacating the hangar space at KVLD to avoid the expenses, since work has pretty much stopped. Good question on the operating limitations as well...one would assume they got amended or a ferry flight of sorts approved.

It's a gem but it's hard to explain to anyone who haven't seen it. "Trust me, just watch it all the way through. Make sure you pay close attention to all the subtle stuff."

I have a Yoyodyne patch somewhere.

15 minutes in, and I gotta turn it off.

Im not sure he ever intends to fly it again. That runway can’t be long enough for the raptor.

Airnav shows the runway is 4,700'. On the last video posted he took off on runway 35 and was off the ground at about 2,400'. So even with a 1,200' elevation, I would think that he could get that thing off the ground and clear any obstacles.
