But....
We need to entertainment...
If a real company takes over the project, we won't get all the fun. Who knows, there is so much money floating around now that someone may say: WTH, let's do this... and throws X amount of millions into this. With the right team I am sure they can make a go of it. Make it fly, sell a few, and go bankrupt, because it is not profitable. Lots of examples like this around. The pressurization is really the deal breaker. If they can make this work, and get Cirrus numbers they may get a chance. But I don't see that happening. The structure does not seem to be able to sustain that kind of pressure.

Anything, even Raptor, can be fixed with enough time and money.

No more helmet, and never a flight test plan, so he's not just phoning in the video portion. Yeah, I get that impression too; he’s tired, and the writing is on the wall. He spoke of a “company” in California that was going to be involved. I can’t believe that anyone would seriously partner with him as it stands, so a buy-out sounds more likely.

Well, I gotta say, I'm bummed. Kinda feel like I did when I found out Brannigan and Jason were expelled.
If Peter is burned out or finally accepting reality then 5 years and 239 pages of entertainment are coming to a close. We've had it all. Doubters, believers, trolls, test pilots, imposters, etc.
It was very entertaining while it lasted.

It was very entertaining while it lasted. Nothing lasts forever, we knew it would happen sooner or later. The story itself may continue to unfold. At least we will get to see the move, and the "reveal" of the California plan, and if another party is involved, maybe less soap opera and more engineering. Stranger things have happened. Then again, he did say "whatever you've imagined, it's not that.", so technically this theory wrong too.

It sounds more like a buy out situation to me, but I can’t see any company that has the knowledge and resources to successfully develop a new design wanting to start with the Raptor. The only part that may be useful are the molds for the basic shell. Pretty much everything that has been added since the airframe was popped out of the molds needs to be thrown out to make way for a design that actually works. The airframe he currently has is useless because of the weight, which as I understand, is largely because of how Pete, against advice of people with knowledge and experience, insisted on having it unnecessarily overbuilt in certain areas when it was in the molds. If you are going to have to start at square one with the molds, why fly the acft to California? For that matter, why fly the aircraft? You’re not proving anything. And you aren’t gaining any data that will be applicable to the design which comes next.

Raptor has become a religion; you’re a believer or not. Companies never buy into anything stupid.

There are other just as crazy deals going on in this market. Peter is just a one man version of the electric VTOL market. Mike C.

He's probably found some small company founded by some tech guys that hit it off with bitcoin. 300 ktas and 3600 nm miles sound soooo good to people that don't understand.
It would be cool if someone took it and hired some experts to come in and get it right. But, how many millions more will it take? This isn't going to be a $130k kit if someone takes the time and money to fix it.
