Here’s an anti-troll graphic (extra points for getting the cultural reference):

Made it on the scales - 3185# with no fuel. That's a titch above the original estimated empty of 2300.

The Velocity V-Twin has a empty weight of 2000, gross of 3200...curious how the flight test goes, given he's pretty similar to the V.

The two V-Twins I'm familiar with are closer to 2,200lbs and have a max GW of 3,400.

But that Raptor is still a massive pig.

I concur...he's past Turbo Malibu weights there. A Baron 58P is 4k empty from what I gather.

Will be interesting to see what it uses for runway...

I guess that's why his 70+ Kt ground runs never got any float.

Yep, the minimum takeoff and landing speeds are going to be a tad brisk!

Single pilot and full fuel will be over 4,200. What do you think the takeoff distance over a 50 foot obstacle is going to look like? :bugeye:

I haven't watched the videos in a while, but doesn't this thing only have the front seats and no rears in it yet?

It sounds like the test pilots are coming next week. I think he is going to get them to fly it around the pattern. Then, he is going into sales pitch mode about how blah blah blah, he can get the weight down. He can get some more power. How once he fixes the window install and can pressurize it, he can get up high and make the speed. Then ask for the escrows to be released. Honestly, you just can't feel sorry for people that would release their money under these circumstances.
