I would have no problem buying/flying a Piper. I really like those school planes even though for a while I was convinced I'd get killed in one. Piper has built some real winners.

The main takeaway for me is that they landed safely and without any other damage. Impressive.

Doug, do you have info on how many hours that plane has? I would not be surprised if it were around 25,000-30,000.
By the way, I was there back when Ulrich sort of ran it and the walls were plastered with Sun girls.
Excellent training there was.
One source in Avcanada says plane had 21000 hours, all in primary instruction.
I was told by someone in the know that it was closer to 25,000 hrs....
