We have awesome customers, and some customers have spectacular/unique airplanes that we like to share. This one is a homebuilt seaplane made by Steve Wightman. This plane has a turboprop engine pulled from a King Air. It can reach 182 knots and is slated to beat 4 world records in May. It's wingspan is 35 ft, holds 5, and has a max take off weight of 3950 lbs. Check out some more neat facts, stats and pictures in our blog post about it here and you can visit Steve's website here. Edit: Likely holds only 2, but the stats seem to point to more.

I am with Jason, in looking at the picture I do not see 5 seats or anyplace to put 5 seats.
This airplane looks like a lot of fun, but comparing the fuel flow for a PT6 with the size fuel tanks that are normally in a plane like this, the range would be pretty small. I hope it has larger tanks / gross weight increase to feed the thirsty PT6. And maybe you have to take off from the water, make a short hop to an airport for fuel, then you can use full gross weight and use the speed/range....

I read the thread title and realized that this didn't have wheels (which means it's not an amphibian): So I guess the Super Seawind is the fastest SE amphib.

If a professional pilot couldn't keep one inside of the envelope, I will not try. Maybe that guy just needed MOAR POWERR which the subject aircraft here solves handily. Maybe the other two seating positions are the handholds you see on the engine pod that are deceitfully shaped like NACA inlets. I'm sort of impressed that an EAB can generate enough maintenance documentation to need professional scanning.
