Cirrus originally wanted a slight down angle, but this caused excessive pitch down during missed approaches/go arounds. So they moved to a slightly up angle, (but gave up a few knots airspeed in the process).

Compared to what else you can get new? Not used, new. Only thing even close to its capability and price range would be the Mirage.
Yeah, we all know you can get used better/faster/cheaper, but look at all the people who buy brand new SR-22s for $700k.
