Russ,

They look fast and are! Congratulations! I have a friend with an earlier version that loves his. I hope you will as well.

One of the fastest fixed gear piston singles

The mooney numbers are ROP at 25,000ft with a Unicorn pushing

Plenty of faster piston singles.

For example, P-51.

I think Columbia/Corvalis is the fastest fixed gear piston single certified airplane.

IIRC, the Mooney couldn't fill the tanks and take off with only the pilot if he were 200 lbs or they exceeded gross. I brought this up to the Mooney people at Sun-N-Fun and received a bunch of blank stares. They promptly went out of business the next year. Maybe they increased the gross since then.

Beautiful airplane. It's also incredibly well made. Why don't they sell more of them?

Because it is close to the same price as a New Bo I would imagine.

I have only flown one for about an hour. Did the take off & landing. Worried about the side stick for about 4 minutes and never thought about it again.

Loved the way it handled. I remember being shocked at doing 190knots at 2000'.
