At this point I have read up to page 5 of this discussion, copying and pasting a tidbit here and there and will finish it all up soon. Great discussion. I operate out of a 3500' strip at 1200' MSL. What is your comfort level for a 400 series for take offs/landings? Thanks, now I can go back and pick up where I left off. You NEED to speak with Doug Jackson.

Went out of the 2500' runway in my neighbors 340A the other day. 3 adults and half tanks...I was quite comfortable with the amount of runway left at rotation. In addition we weren't full throttle prior to brake release. There are Navajo/340/414/421 based here and I've even seen a Duke.

Uh, who is Doug Jackson? The airport is Carroll County Airport, 4m1. It is in NW Arkansas.

I have Gami injectors and they are balanced from .2 to .4 tenths of gallon from each other. Gerald, we took delivery of a 1982 421C in August and have been flying it on longer trips when the Bo isn’t as comfortable. I can’t find any reference numbers for TIT or CHT in the book. What are your typical numbers for your trips? Love the 421 so far but it sure likes its gas

Look in the POH under power settings and Altitude, you will see a black line around certain power settings , that’s the box. Read the fine print at the top. It’s a good idea to have balanced fuel injectors from Gami. PM sent
