Adam has a nice Aerostar 601P for sale in the For Sale section, the back and forth from folks interested in the type is a a bit of a distraction from the purpose of his post. (Finding the right person to give his plane a new home.) I'll start with some pictures of my panel in cruise for the You Tube inquiry. Jason, I wish I had your yokes. Mine look like they came out of a '58 Tri-pacer. Wish, wish, wish, can't any of us be happy anymore? Jgreen

The door opening into the propeller has always bothered me. Does it cause any concern in real life?

I know of other Aerostar pilots who taxi with it open. I have tried it a few times...personally, I don't like it and keep it closed. I keep meaning to make a simple block that you could put against the door that would keep it open a few inches. Otherwise, not an issue, just one of the nuances of the aircraft. Glenn

Here's the card that was in my 601P/Superstar 700 (with intercoolers) when I bought it. It's usually pretty close: Attachment: Screenshot 2015-09-23 20.38.40.png

Runway performance?? Useful load?
A cousin of mine used to own one and said it was the easiest twin to fly on one engine.

A cousin of mine used to own one and said it was the easiest twin to fly on one engine. I'm off in 1800-2500', depending on weight, wind, etc. If I'm going to take off at 6000#, I plan on a minimum runway length of 5,000'. A 601P can land on a runway shorter than it can take off on. Most planes (601P) are around 4300# MTOW is 6000# A 700 has a MTOW of 6315 A 702 has a MTOW of 6850! It is an easy airplane to fly, if you are willing to fly to a certain level of precision.
