I have a 79 182 , and I am waiting for the service manuals to come in the mail , Does anyone have a diagram of the panel dimming circuit , it has an electronic setup that is located over the glovebox under the dash , any help is greatly appreciated..

Cessna has made many such manuals available free for download - link is here, you do have to register:

I have both the service and parts manuals for my 69 182, looked at both. Dunno what type of detail you need but neither illuminates much in that area. (sorry for the bad pun)

I have put them on my IPad even, for easy reference when away from home...
