Seriously, it's not that bad. Some owners have put a notch in the fairing for better access. The notch in the fairing seems like a reasonable approach. I've already tried the first approach although I had the wrong type of chuck. Thanks for the info.

that guy must have been a real jackass. I'm thinking about taking the fairing off completely.
