According to French website RadiCocpit.fr, Greek fighter pilot Homere Sipostopoulos allegedly landed his F-16 in Turkey, withdrew money from local ATMs then returned back to base.

I don't see any airstrips near Söke, Turkey. The story is probably false.

Do you suppose they had a crew car there at a mostly abandoned military base? The nearest ATM is probably several miles away.
