Just arrived at Addison, to my amazement, I saw two Piaggios parked as I was taxiing in. Wish it was one of you guys on this forum! I've never even seen one in real life until now!

Hello JD, We have listed P180 SN 1036 for sale. It is currently parked at FTW Meacham @ Broadies Aircraft Service. This particular airplane is a good core aircraft with a Garmin retrofit, but is in need of Cosmetics as well as a few other more expensive things in the next couple of years. Broadies maintains a few of them, so there should be something possibly "prettier". But, you should be able to see one, or several. Happy to put you in touch with them. My contact info is on our website @ www.wetzelaviation.com, or I can PM you. Bryon Mobley Wetzel Aviation, Inc.

So has anyone found a permanent (or at least semi-permanent) fix for the door seal squealing? Stuffing a coat on it is maybe a little better, but it's hard to tell without someone fiddling with it in flight while I bark out things to try. I'm still not sure if it's where the two sections meet or at the floor.
During maintenance, they put some new foam on the bottom of the top section, but man, it still squeals like mad. I could almost talk without headsets if it weren't for that racket.
Just wondering if anyone found a solution.

That's interesting...never would have thought to try water.
Your dripping it where the halves intersect or at the bottom/floor?

I replaced my seals as well which made a big but not total difference. If we have any squealing it seems to resolve itself by 20,000 feet or so. I haven't had to resort to water, or water logged toilet paper (which also works well) in quite a while.

Your dripping it where the halves intersect or at the bottom/floor? In the halves in the middle. I used a wet super thin Microfiber for a while too. Works but not nearly as well.

Well.............that didn't last long.
The nose actuator is leaking hydraulic fluid. No parts are available, so will go to overhaul.
50 days and 24K-75K is the estimate.

Visible ice on forward wing so turn on each side one at a time watching for amp draw. All good...ice starting to melt.
Oil coolers then boots to Auto.
All working flawlessly
Ice doesn't stand a chance
And NO, I am not ever hoping for freezing rain or SLD The Piaggio seems to have a rather complex de-ice system: forward wing - electric heat, main wing - turbine bleed air heat, engine intake - pneumatic boots, props - engine exhaust and nothing for the H& V stab. What are the ice vanes?
