What mathers is hp at Altitude. The -66D will keep 850 hp up to FL280. What does the -67P does in the NG? Username Protected wrote: It use the same PT6A-66D as the TBM 850/900.
Its the highest hp Pratt PT6 available at altitude. More than the -67 series which have 300-800 or so more horsepower?

Username Protected wrote: Turbo Commander gear overhaul is $15K each 5 years. Isn't the King Air version of that closer to $35K every 5 years? Seems to be the norm in the TP world. I think the MU-2 might be the exception, but not sure. Adam you are very close I just had my gear inspected by Naples jet center last month and cost for gear inspection was 20.6k. After watching the process I am glad I had it done there. It can be done for much cheaper at a lesser shop.

Here is one based at Palo Alto (KPAO) with 2499' runway. It's probably a different one mentioned in this thread. The owner doesn't fly this one himself. He has a pro fly it for him. https://vimeo.com/108533242

Actually sounds pretty cheap for them. I'd thought it'd be more there. They know their Commander stuff, for sure.

From AvBuyer: "The PC-12 NG enjoyed a 15-percent gain in thermodynamic power over the original PC-12 model- along with the ability to continuously get the full- flat-rated 1-200 shp out of the PT6A-67P"I know our -67's in our RC-12's still made over 1000 SHP at FL250.

Went from the worst accident rate to the best (or at least close, I've seen arguments about it but they were splitting data fairly fine). It truly is all about the mission and the training. It previously had a bad mission (late night low cost cargo - check hauling) and limited training requirements. Part of the SFAR training requirements' benefit is that it effectively drove most of the lowest cost guys out since they could no longer just pencil whip a 135 checkride and call it good enough.

I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would want one of these things. It reminds me of those V8 juice commercials. Smack the guy in the head, "Could've had a jet!"

Theodore, there are probably a lot of us who'd rather spend a lot of money upfront, but less per hour (not that I ever seem to have any - money that is). I'm one of those. Just like Jason and many others, a 2 crew jet is of zero interest to me, even though I could get into a Lear much cheaper than a P180. But having employees, having to get onerous yearly training, a fuel bill from hell - no thanks. The P180 offers jet performance without the hassle and the fuel bill.

Seattle to Atlanta --1900 nm direct -- in 6 hours? I'm curious about such a flight. You have a flight track or Flight Aware that shows that flight?
