Exactly where the P.1HH name came from... HH = Hammer Head

OK, not the best example of success...

I bet the Beech Starship 2000 had a similar noise signature.
Never been able to hear one from real, and youtube does not help a lot, but should have been similar.

New exausts and scimitar propeller (also spinning at 1800 RPM instead of 2000) helped a lot to make it a bit less obnoxious.

Congratulations Tony!!!

I’m sure you and your wife both will love it. How long do you expect the initial training to take? Can’t wait to hear all about it.

I am combining in aircraft instruction, Flight Safety and a total of 50 hours dual which I think I'll have knocked out by end of November.

A Starship flies into 46U from time to time. I live close to the runway and have no heard anything unusual. Nothing like brand P.

Best,

Tom

Starship is definitely different than the Piaggio from an OUTSIDE the cabin noise perspective, but from the way it is being described, the Piaggio inside noise must be mouse quiet.

Not so with Starship from what I understand.

But let's be honest, they both sound, and LOOK, way, way more better than that Brand M noise-maker.......... :stir: :duck: :duck:

So any airport you use regularly might ban you? Like your home airport?

Ocean Reef is Private. Santa Monica is communist controlled.

Now, imagine it with TPE331's on - FBO'd be paying you for fuel! :peace:

I don’t think they would do as well turned backwards. Are there any examples of a TPE331 in a pusher config?

Yes, the TPE351-20 was ready for certification (application on an Embraer turboprop) when the company pulled the plug. Performance was excellent in the pusher config - the program was stopped for business reasons.

So, it never went into production, but the paperwork was bundled and ready for FAA-approval when everything ended.

MQ-9 Reaper UAV is a pusher with a -10 engine. May not have been certified for civilian use as a pusher but seems to work fine for the military.

Flight to Cali yesterday. ISA +10ish the whole way. Fl340 ends up being a nice blend of speed and efficiency. I repainted my leading edges and refilled some panel gaps. Seemed to have gained a few knots. 380tas on 638lbs/hr for a specific consumption of .596 nm/lb. It was just me but I did start with full fuel.

One quibble, the single point system is great but I wish it had more venting. I watched them put twice the fuel into a jet yesterday and it took less time than filling me. I hope that remains my biggest ‘issue’.

Anthony have you thought about just fueling the airplane with over the fuselage port? Could get the entire 2800 lb load and its faster.

That's interesting. You wouldn't think that. How much fuel are you not able to get into the tanks with SP fueling?
