Topped everything by going to fl410. Had speed at about 355tas and fuel flows 440lbs an hour or so. Feels rock solid up there. Cabin was at 7k. How does the performance at 410 compare to the mid 30s? I have to admit that I get excited every time I see this thread come back up. Definitely a plane I’ve been thinking a lot about recently.

Well the fuel flows get ridiculous and speed decays to around 350 depending on weight. I find after about 120 hours I hardly ever go there mostly because the winds have been so high it just isn't worth it. I had a flight a week ago at FL390 which is as high as I've been in months. Flows under 600 lbs an hour and about 350 IIRC. Typically I'm at Fl350-360 and 650lbs going 370-380 depending on weight. Got the plane washed in Sonoma Tuesday before heading home and think it was worth about 5 knots.
Anthony's comment about the cabin is a big deal too in my opinion. In the low thirties you have about 2,500-3,000 cabin. That plus very little vibration and noise makes for a much less fatiguing flight. The only discomfort I experience on a 3-4 hour leg is a sore butt which is fixed with a trip to the relief tube in the back of the plane to stretch when there is a qualified pilot in the right seat.

9.0 PSID is a big deal. FL380 to Dallas Executive today with a 6,000ft cabin. Fuel flow 540 lbs/hr at FL380 Speed from 350 to 365 Burned 125 gallons first hour as i was not wearing me lucky hat and Charlotte kept me down a bit longer than normal. 125 was from start up to 1 hour into flight so probable 110 gallons first flight hour. Prop drew blood for first time this am during preflight. In a bit of wind the blades do not stay where you last noticed they were. Small cut on left eyebrow..... Worth it

Having ridden in the back of a few of the AvantAir aircraft, and rode up front a few times (91 legs only), it is nice and comfy in the back!
