Surely that is more than all the other piston plane deliveries, combined, during the same timeframe, no?

No, Cessna alone sold more piston airplanes than Cirrus from 1999 to 2014. You can check this out here: http://gama.aero/media-center/industry- ... &submit=GoI didn't do the math, but scanning the numbers, Cirrus was about 25% market share during this time of piston aircraft by count. None of which practically cruise above 140 kts. Suppose I should have said why used 33/35/55 prices are low. That's the market Cirrus eviscerated.

I have told Cessna that countless times. Im trying to figure out how no one at Cessna has said, hey lets put a chute in this one, or at least make it optional. I think they've tried to sell airplanes on the basis of ''we don't need one'' for so long, they would have too much pride to put one in. They are getting outsold by about 10:1, they're way of marketing is not working.

More power to them! That's cause you're an unusual cat, slumming it with twin engines in both piston and turbine world. Cirrus is a good looking airplane and offers tremendous bang for the buck.
