“It’s not about getting there fast,” said Tony Phillippi, owner of N500LN. “Once you’re on that airplane, you’ve arrived at your destination.”

I'm not sure how much money the "mid-millions" is :bugeye: , but I'm pretty sure that i don't have it. Unless of course they will take Confederate money. :cross:

Wow that's beautiful. I love the paint scheme and colors.

Yeah, that seems reasonable.

That airplane chased me off the ground at Anoka yesterday. I could hardly get out of the way fast enough. It is truly remarkable. Its brother and hangar mate is stunning.

Saw both of the "Howards" at the AOPA flyin at KANE last summer. Their size is astonishing and they are beautiful birds. Witnessed one departing. What a sound!!

I know time is money, and that's why they have jets...

But if I was a heavy hitter like Mr. Trump or Mr. Penske...I'd have this for the occasional trip that doesn't require a jet.

Could you arrive in more style than a Howard 500?

Hard to imagine.

They say that thing can do 300 knots. You think that's true? Or is that in a dive right before the wings come off...?

Yes.

It has 5000 HP.

That is a slightly better power to weight ratio than my MU2 and it can fly higher.

The word back in the day was 350K, 25,000', 2,500 nm.

Always wanted to fly one, never did. <sigh>
