Admittedly the high wing is awesome, I like it a lot.

Low wings have their advantages, too.

Agreed, which is why this wasn't false.

Low wing advantages:

No ladder to fuel.
Easier to check fuel cap security.
Easier to preflight wing.
Landing gear simpler, shorter, wider stance.
Less empty weight.
Less chance of walking into prop.
Less chance of walking into engine nacelle.
Less chance fuel vent drips on you.
Easier to work on, no ladder required.
Easier to deice.

Probably some more I have forgotten...

Mike C.

Mike is clearly getting ready for his upgrade to a Conquest II or a Citation with all this low wing love.

The MU2 looks like the progeny of a Lear 25 and C130....I like it.

I like to think of the MU2 as a "baby C130".

Added an RDR2000 to the MU2 and it displays on the IFD550. Only a 15 minute flight on the way back from shop and no real time to play with it but from what I could see it’s going to be a fantastic addition. Really excited to learn more about radar and use it on upcoming flight. Currently I’m reading Archie Trammels radar course.

can someone give me realistic numbers for a Marquise?

- Max realistic altitude?
- Full fuel payload?
- Full fuel range if flown at max realistic altitude?
- Fuel flow at max realistic altitude?
- Rule of thumb first hour fuel burn, and every hour after that.
- Max summer and winter speeds?

Thx

It had been removed. This is my first time using on board radar.

Ship’s radar is absolutely essential for tactical weather flying/transiting a line. I have the same radar in my Mits. You will find it really helps keep you out of trouble when “close-in” to storms near your departure or arrival corridor. In cruise, NEXRAD is really a better long range planning and avoidance tool. Critical addition to your plane IMO.
