Fascinating airplane. I have really enjoyed this thread. Looks like OP is flying a jet now.

Please tell me more. Wouldn’t tail heavy make it more pitched up; raising the AOA and lowering speed? I keep 50lbs in the tail of my short body MU2 for landing ballast. Also, I just had 20lbs of obsolete wiring removed from the nose. Still have one battery in the front but could move it back.

Aft CG makes all conventional aircraft more pitch sensitive and faster. Less drag from tail downforce. Ben

And in short body makes for more “normal” takeoff and landings. Wish ours had the aft battery mod. My next Mu2 would get that for sure.

STC is to move the nose one back to the right wheel well. Which I have, FWIW, and it works great for me and my typical loads.

Love the MU2! Just landed back home with winds at 60° to runway, 14 gusting 24. Didn't even wake the baby. Piece of cake. Citation landed right behind me and almost had a wing strike!

The annual is complete on the Baron and it came through with shining colors. I listed it on BT but will hand over the duties for selling it to a well known BT'r next week sometime. I am supposed to take a ride with one of the sellers in his plane early next week so I will report back after that flight. Stepping up to this level of plane is beyond anything I thought I'd ever be able to do and I am humbled by the fact that I get to embark on such an exciting process. I have the insurance all but handled as well as the hanger arrangements. Although not ideal its workable in a community hanger at KTME. This is going to be fun.... Verdict is in if you like short fat ones.

One bolt on a wing assy failed testing. Compare to my experience with our 4 King Airs being disassembled every 5 years and having lots of parts tossed, I was amazed. It is a “brick s**t house.” Going through turbulence, the Mits rocks and warbles a bit…the King Airs high-freq rattle and oil-can on the wing skins. It feels like I’m flying a small version of a heavy transport. HUH?

Landed in some stiff crosswinds no problem . Had trouble keeping the upwind wing down while taxing the winds were so stiff.

If you make a statement like: "that battle was like wrestling alligators" one could wonder how you can make that comparison having not ever wrestled alligators. Similarly, if you make a statement: "It feels like I’m flying a small version of a heavy transport." one might wonder how you can make that statement having not ever flown a heavy transport (as he has).
