Might be seeing a 1.XX price pretty soon. $2.29 is the lowest I have seen thus far.

Last week, Bama Air at KTCL had Jet-A $2.23 (Everest) but that was a one time special, now back to typical prices > $4.xx.

Lowest I know about is KDFW of all places, Corporate Aviation, $2.64 (Everest). There is a $10 airport service fee with that. Of course, landing at DFW is not without some costs otherwise (even if it just the taxi fuel).

Lowest I know about at a smaller airport is $2.77 KHSD Sundance Airpark, OK ($2.72 on Airboss). I called and confirmed this, too. They said their goal is to be the lowest price in the US. Okay by me!


The piston twin drivers are happier, too, but the price spread between 100LL and Jet-A continues to grow as 100LL use dwindles and the calls for banning it get louder. The 100LL prices are not falling in proportion to crude. At some point, we are looking at $10/gal 100LL as being "normal" despite the recent trend.

100LL is coming down, it is 4.39 in Riverside right now. Maybe not as fast as we would like, but it is coming down.

It's great, isn't it?! I will be traveling a little bit in the jet over the next two weeks. I figure I will burn about 2800 gallons on these flights with an average cost of $3.50 per gallon. That's pretty good, especially since I am choosing to let a few greedy crooked airports screw me for the convenience. If JetA prices keep falling I might just have to buy that Lear!

Home airport is currently $5.00 per gallon (They are real dirtbags at North Las Vegas. I could actually fly to Atlantic at KLAS and buy contract fuel from them for cheaper! It's ridiculous.)

1000 nm flight to visit one of my offices, I will pay $3.00 per gallon at a major class B airport, 5 star FBO.

500 nm flight from there to visit family ($4.50 per gallon- Horrible 1 star dumpy FBO, airport in the middle of the country. Again they are crooks, but getting screwed is worth the convenience for me. They weren't even pleasant or competent the last time I was there.)

1100 nm flight from there to South Florida, where I will pay $3.25 per gallon. (another nice airport and 5 star excellent FBO)

Then a 1600nm flight from there to the Mountains. I will have make a fuel stop halfway ($3.15) per gallon (4 star FBO). Fuel at my destination airport there is only $2.85 per gallon. (great airport and 5 star FBO)

Home for a few days, then off to Norcal for a few days 350nm flight each way where I will pay $3.65 at a major airport (busy airport, 4 star FBO).
