Ok, so I just got a new plane, but if the next two years go like the last two years...
I'd like to be SP, speed, range, and field length matter. Thoughts?

I'd like to be SP, speed, range, and field length matter. Thoughts? We sold an S/II last month. The maintenance was a little higher than I'd have liked and it drank a hair too much, but overall it was great. Pretty fast (380-400 kts), 2000lbs first hour, 1200 each additional, 8 pax in total comfort, 10 with somebody on the potty. Easy to fly. Very reasonable to buy (well below 1MM) with good (500 hr or so) engines. 100k to upgrade to Garmin glass.

To what degree do you value operating costs vs. capital costs? What do you want it to do that the Mits doesn't?

He owns an MU2, I'd say it's safe to assume that he doesn't like high capital costs.

i buy airplanes the same way I do anything. I look for the most undervalued thing that puts out the most performance (usually something everyone else hates for what seems an illogical reason), I get acquainted with it (in this case I trained with Reece before I decided if I'd buy a Mits or not), and if there's a deal to be had I have it.
The next airplane I buy needs to be as fast as the airlines, let's say cruise for 2500NM at .86 in the 40s and I want a hot wing. I love the older Falcon 10 and Westwind, but I'd like better fuel efficiency and SP. It may be that such a bird doesn't exist, I don't know. If it does, I'm sure someone in hear knows about it. No more turbo prop; I like Piagio and the Cheyenne 400LS, but I've got a TP already. If I need to sacrifice one of my desires, I'll hire a SIC, but if there's a way to do this SP, that's what I'd prefer.
Is there anything that fits the bill?

There's not too many airliners out there consistently cruising around at .86 and I'm not sure there is anything that will do .86 for 2500nm and be SP.
At .86 you're in GV, DA-7X, Citation X territory and any SP jet that's capable of 2500nm, (I'm not sure if any of them are) wont be above .76-.78 for very long.
