I don’t see anyone who has been flying in the flight levels giving that up for a new SF-50.
They wouldn't be, SF-50 also flies in the flight levels, up to FL (that's "Flight Level") 280.

The SF50 will effectively push down the price for older SETP and jets. e.g. someone will say, I could buy a new SF50 or an older TBM 700C (I think they are around the same price). The SF50 is brand new, new avionics....
.. and ...the SF50 is 5 years away if you order today.

When we get to 5 years from now, there will be used SF50s for sale. You can count on it. Some number of buyers will have tired of the limited performance and will be moving on.

The end result, the SF50 is going to hurt the value of these SETPs and Jets.

I doubt it. I think the opposite will occur. The SF50 buyer is typically an SR22 owner moving into turbines. If they tire of the cost, they move sideways to an SETP. If they got more money, they move into a real jet. So the net effect is the SF50 is a gateway drug to other turbines and thus won't steal sales from the existing SETP or jet markets.

These are common reactions to most demo flights in modern SP jets.
"And I can afford to buy one new!" --- not so common

Point being the SF50 is typical in most respects. Its OEI procedure is different, and limited to FL280, but otherwise typical.

I heard rumor of someone at the airport taking delivery of a brand new SR22 as a one year extended transition program into the jet. I wonder if Cirrus has a special pricing program for that?

I believe they guarantee a certain buyback price.

I can't help but be impressed with Cirrus for creating and certifying a whole new category of airplane, and I would say they deserve the Collier trophy for essentially being alone in the field of general aviation for that accomplishment. The Vision Jet has to compete with some pretty stiff competition, primarily Citation Jets and Mustangs that are in the same price range, and offer things the legacy planes can't such as ease of flight and engine management, completely modern integrated cockpits, and ease of transition for the Cirrus piston pilot. Personally, for the money I would rather fly a Mustang or CJ, but there a enough pilots that think differently and are lining up for the Vision Jet. It's a great thing for general aviation in general to have a manufacturer that is trying to push the envelope and use modern technology to advance aviation. Kudos to Cirrus!

Does anyone know what these are making for TAS? One came in to the FBO while I was doing stuff with the 200 and Navajo. On its way from Boeing Field to Detroit. They filed for 300 KTS. I went on Flightaware and saw them level out at 270, doing 300 knots. Went on FltPlan.com and did a quick plan in the 200 at 270, and they should have been seeing 15 knot push. Which makes TAS about 285kts, not 300. Thoughts?

Over most of our four legs we saw cruise speeds above the promised 300 KTAS. Early in the first leg, speed maxed at 297 knots, but the temperature was 11 degrees Celsius above standard. Otherwise, burning the predicted 64 gallons of Jet A an hour, we routinely saw more than 300 knots.

Didn’t look it up on Fliteaware but saw a SF50 leave Duluth today for Germany. Routing thru Olathe , St Louis, Goose Bay, Frobisher(sp), Green Land, Ice Land, Scotland, etc. The factory is humming with activity. Finding it challenging to get my head around the many pages of options provided by the Garmin Perspective while trying to also execute typical emergency procedures. Will see if they are doing specials on SR22s if you agree to buy a jet.
