When you look at the history of the trophy, it is not always about technology, often it is about disrupting the market. And the SF50 does that in spades; at least from a perception level. Reality is still TBD.
Tim I don't think that is actually true SF50 Stall speed 67 PC12 67 TBM 65 M600/M500 61 Cost (All typically optioned) SF50 (If you could buy one without a position) 2.4 mil Cost M500 you can actually buy one 2.4 mil Cost M600 3.1 mil Cost TBM930 4.4 mil

The avionics are drop dead beautiful and easy to manage and the auto-pilot flys if flawlessly...
...It does suck some fuel down low, as any turbine would, but man what a ride... These are common reactions to most demo flights in modern SP jets.

Username Protected wrote: Hey, this is only Page 410. Maybe a new opinion will show up soon.....something nobody has ever opined here before now! The SF50 will effectively push down the price for older SETP and jets. e.g. someone will say, I could buy a new SF50 or an older TBM 700C (I think they are around the same price). The SF50 is brand new, new avionics.... The same could be said for some older jets, such as a Citation 500. The end result, the SF50 is going to hurt the value of these SETPs and Jets. This will cause many people to buy the new reduced price old turbines and then find out the OpEx is still based on a X million dollar plane which will eat them alive. At which point the plane will start to sit derelict, and many of these are to large for the "cheap" hangars so they will sit on the tarmac. Eventually, the depressed owner will come and see the sorry state of the plane and leave aviation. We can therefore base the demise of general aviation on the SF50.. Tim

Let's see if you can buy one None for sale, and won't be for a very long time. Nobody knows what the retail price is. Again, none for sale. Many people will sit for years on their deposits while their time limited health and subsequent time limited medicals expire. I almost put a deposit on one in 2009. I was impressed by it back then like I am impressed by it now. But like then is still made of unobtanium, because there is not one sitting on a lot somewhere. Just glad that I went a different route into the flight levels. Since 2009 over 2000 flight level hours which has been life changing. My medical will expire one day, but my memories won't. If you think you want to experience true cross country, most anytime flight level travel, quit dreaming and do it. Planes will never be cheaper or better than they are now. One day the tomorrows will run out.

I don’t see anyone who has been flying in the flight levels giving that up for a new SF-50.
