We have three clients who have had their planes delivered, got typed and are flying them now. Clearly they are not on BT or this thread would be longer:-)

You really think position holders will want to wait 10 years for their new aircraft?
They'll keep a close eye on how the price on positions develops before they overextend themselves on a production rate increase. Flooding the market with SR22s during the 04 to 07 boom is what caused used prices to depress later on.
We have three clients who have had their planes delivered, got typed and are flying them now. What were they flying prior? Curious if they were SR22 drivers or another make.

Sell your later position, buy one that comes up in the timeframe you need. There is an entire cottage industry of brokers that does nothing but matching position holders with buyers.

We have three clients who have had their planes delivered, got typed and are flying them now. For those that have them. Is the full data on the plane in the post Mike C of registered SF50? Tim

My hangar neighbor got to fly the SF50 last week. He currently owns an SR22 with turbo. They were trying to get him to buy one after a sale fell through. He said it was a lot easier to fly than his SR22. We was able to fly it for an hour and flew the entire time, takeoff to landing. They let him to stalls, steep turns, spirals, anything he would normally do in his SR22 for a checkout. He said he just about bought it on the spot. He thinks in a year or 2 his business with grow enough to where he could justify it.

Vince I have a friend who sells aviation insurance. I have told him he needs to get ready for the pilots that will be transitioning straight from piston singles to turbines. Anyone know how this is being handled with the SF50? Easy to fly or not... underwriters freak out when they see 0 turbine time. Does single piston to single jet negate the need for twin time?

Does single piston to single jet negate the need for twin time? This is nothing new. There’s a whole bunch of us that have gone from piston singles to turbines. Underwriters have been dealing with it for years.
