As Allan eluded to, besides the performance characteristics, the real appeal of this bird is the cabin and cockpit. If you haven't been in one yet, you really need to see it. The space inside and layout are just incredible. There's absolutely nothing else like it.

Yet even freed from all that debt, now new Eclipse's cost more than the SF50. The Eclipse was only cheaper when sold at an unsustainable loss. Welcome back, Mike!

Spent an hour or so today going thru a production version visiting the shop for a mushy brake pedal. It's pretty darn awesome. Several interior and trim pieces didn't seem quite ready for prime time. I'd say it was stuff you'd be ok with ina mock up, but if it were x,xxx, xxx $ of my ones I would have had them fixed at my delivery inspection. I'm sold on it none the less. The panel is amazingly clean. So elegant. Great visibility. Comfortable seats, USB and cup holders all over the place. The only thing I missed seeing was the baggage compartment. The x tail is beautiful. I'm in love with another forked tail lady. Please don't tell Trixie. I guess with my new ATP SEL, I may get a chance to fly one someday.

Mike C. Care to make a wager? Not sure why I'm asking, you never took me up on the last bet I proposed. Good thing too because you'd owe.

The comp for a Cirrus Jet is the TBM. The TBM has longer range, but the Jet has a lot fewer moving parts and a huge cabin. And a parachute. I'd take the Cirrus everytime in that comparison....
