I'm guessing he down-fueled given the pax and luggage, and was probably trying to be as conservative on fuel as possible, given being new to the airframe, and realistically a minimum 1150-1200 nm leg to an international destination, etc.
One of the things that makes the P300 (and CJ4 and PC24...) so interesting vs some others is that ~2000nm long range capability. I hate fuel stops when on long trips in somewhat of a hurry. They always take longer and can be more hassle than advertised. I would rather do 370-380 ktas and not stop than 430+ ktas and a stop. And that is what is really where the 300 shines; it can do 9 people and luggage and quite a bit of fuel or it can do 5 and all the luggage they want and full fuel (6 if it is a family). LRC is a choice and provides options, the typical trips I do there is no reason as they are 2-3 hours and you can carry a LOT of fuel, PAX and Bags for those legs. Brad

By the way, if you recline the seat fully, after you have moved it to the center, and recline the one behind you as well, you now have a full fledged lay flat bed for this 6’3” guy. You can make 4 “beds” that way. And a potty. I’ll never own one, but boy are the awesome. Yep, I have done LAS-EVV with 9 and it didn't break a sweat either. It truly is a remarkable airplane for a light jet. Both of the ones that I fly have 9 seats, and we do that a fair amount, but 4-5 pax makes it a really comfortable airplane. Brad

Brad We did 5 people total, 3 of which were pilots. A lot of seat switching on the long flights. What fun! Ever tried the full power take off and keep it there? Wow!

Username Protected wrote: Yes Sorry... I just didn't feel like deciphering the post. I'd do that flight in the PC12 with a full boat. Easy. Hell, it's a 6 hour drive from Atlanta to the closest beach and guy's here act like they can't sit on a Phenom 300 for 4 hours without taking a fuel stop to stretch their legs. Yesterday I flew First Class on Delta (SUCKED) Atlanta to Denver. 3 hours from the minute I walked on the airplane to the minute I walked off the plane. Plus 2 hours from the time I left the front door of my house plus another hour Uber from KDEN to KBJC. So 6 hours door to door flying Delta. Then I picked up a new PC12 from Pilatus HQ and flew it all the way back to Atlanta in 3.5 hours. Then I went to a fancy dinner and had a martini. All we're doing is sitting there. You're not plowing a field.
