Hey Doug I think I'm a year behind you in your 340 adventure. I live on a 2800 foot strip with water off one end so I've also been thinking of a STOL 340 plane. Do you (or does anyone) know of any that came up after yours for sale and that still might be available?

Ron there are two for sale. One is in Italy and the other has 11,000 hours. I don't know of any others. Google it and you will find those two. I think the high time on is on Controller

Thanks Doug, aware of both of them. I'm afraid of the high time bird and have no idea how to get one from Europe. Maybe I need to make a trip to Italy!

Little update. New panel is going in, interior is text to install. Going to paint as soon as panel is finished. Going with a carbon fiber water dip on the panel.

Thanks Glenn, they are actually tan and brown. Not sure why the color washed out so bad in the photo.

panel layout

Doug. Nice job. I'm not sure if that is the final layout but take a look at the spacing between the annunciator block and the back up airspeed and altitude on the pilot side. Also the vacuum gauge...

You're all in now!

We had to rearrange the panel because of an interference problem with the autopilot.
Functionally, this is probably better. Having the engine monitors closer to the original gauge locations and easier in the scan.

Hi Doug,
Congrats on a great plane. When you're finished, let's organize a north Texas lunch so we can all see it in person.
