One other way to get into a T6 or any warbird is find one that has been sitting inside for some years. I know of one The N# is 94444.
Just a bit of history it was a ground up restoration from 1971 through 1976 in 1976 we took it back to Oshkosh and got best T6 with it (The EAAs XP51 was grand champ) In 1977 we returned with it and came home with the Grand Champ Lindy. In 1985 John Sold N94444 to Darrell Doman of Springfield Mo. to buy a T28B (that got best T28 in87 and grand champ88) He quit flying it when the engine ran out of time and it has been sitting inside for years. A couple years ago Darrell passed away and his kid's have no use in the airplane and I bet with a little bit of sweet talking it could have a new owner.
By the way N94444 was the fifth AT6A produced.

Chris, Did you ever get in touch with either of the Domann kids? I know you got in touch with Harrison.

Hi Kim-
I spoke to the son you recommended and the other left me a VM. We spoke about the plane and all indications are they're ready to sell. They have my number and supposed to contact me once they figured out a price. Not exactly what I'm looking for but if priced right maybe or someone on BT would be interested.

Does anyone know if the family sold N94444 or have a contact number for them? You can PM me. Thank you.
