VEGAS! Night landing in Vegas. Pretty scenic. Report of a Drone on final over MGM pool. Any pilot appreciates an "atta boy" for a job well done. These boys are a little over the top. Jack and Crown will do that. This operator has a group of friends who raise about $1m/yr for charity. This trip started with a surprise flight to Monterey, CA to play Pebble for 8 guys who appear to have never missed a meal. Max weight departure out of KSDL at +30C. No sweat. They thought they were going to Vegas to play golf. Seven of the eight were stunned to see hills and the ocean when we landed. After playing Pebble they flew to Vegas for a calm relaxing evening. I suspect heads hit the pillows by midnight. Reportedly a good time was had by all.

Yes, sir, I know, I appreciate the invite (Mark was kind enough to ask me to co-pilot) but I will be taking you up on the next time (there is a next time right?)

Not. :-) So were the passenger celebrations alcohol induced, or just great relief to get back on the ground? Or perhaps both? :-) What happens in Vegas is on youtube the next day... Mike C.

The camera hardly moves at all. Or does he have a very rigid mount? Hmm.... If I did this in the MU2, I might have to pick the camera off the floor post touchdown. This is about as good as can be done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsa6b573JKkMike C.

Aw shucks. You are correct that the camera shakes, rattles and rolls with every little bump. I have had some apparent greasers that, when I reviewed them on video, appeared like I made a carrier landing. Everything is amplified. Thanks for noticing. Not fishing for compliments but it is nice to hear that your peers appreciate a good landing.
In fairness, I find the 550 a fairly easy airplane to land. Kudos to the engineers. On the other hand, and for whatever reason, I find the 560 a harder plane to land smoothly. Probably the extra weight. Anyone else notice a difference?
Hoping to log some Encore hours soon. Never landed a trailing link gear plane. Bet it makes every landing look good.

Jeff Bose A20. It is a first generation Virb camera with the hardware headphone adaptor from Garmin. Re the voice...got that the old fashion way...good genetics. Was a radioman back in the day...play by play sports, news and spinning records on the weekends. Never trained for it though. I do remember getting a letter from a critical listener about my mispronounciation of the word nuclear. (New queue lure). I was a sophomore in college. Ate me up for days. Made me think more about enunciation and pronunciation. That's about all the thought I ever put into it.
