Wow, would like to have one of those as well. Can you give us any tips on how you handle it on the home front (SO)? Does a guy just do it and see if "papers" drop via certified mail from her lawyer? Do you like, beg? Do you just hide it?

How do we get the second airplane deal done?

My approach is pretty simple. Let the house get a little run down, let the paint get aged, appliances on the blink, carpet needs replacing, etc. Then, tell her you want a Cub or what ever you're wanting. She'll say, "You want another airplane, look at this house!". You're response, " You're right, if I get this stuff done, we have a deal?" If she says no deal, don't fix anything, let it get worse, she"ll break.

Rocky needs to explain the technique for getting to 5 airplanes!

THANK YOU! You guys remind me how lucky I am. My wife says she doesn't care so long as the bills are paid, the kids educated and we have enough for our retirement plans.

Really, if you're a responsible person and can afford it, I would think it can't be that hard a sell.

Thanks Mike.

I'm really looking forward to getting comfortable with the plane and using it to explore the California coastline at 1000', 1940's style :pilot:

Nice looking Cub Alejandro!
Enjoy.

Btw, it looks likeit has the stock goodyear brakes. If it were me, I be on the lookout for a Cleveland conversion. They are avialable for the 8x4 wheel now I think.

Thanks Kent, the list of mods and upgrades keeps growing - the plan right now is to dominate it flying-wise and then start perfecting it. So far I'm thinking wind generator, x-ponder, radio, wheel pants, and brakes. :pilot:

Alejandro

If you wanting to put money into it, consider a C-85 or O-200 to be at the top of the list.

Others things add weight.. and Cubs really respond to weight.

If you want a lot of stuff... get a PA-18.
As much fun and Better performance .
