I'm the guy who is all about "operating expenses". I don't care what an airplane costs to buy.
If it costs the same to operate a TBM as a PC12, I'll take the PC12.

If it costs the same to operate a TBM as a PC12, I'll take the PC12. Not quite the same...higher fuel burn (50gph versus 60gph)as well as some other items (like overhaul/HSI costs). But it isn't an outrageously higher number per hour. -Neal

You know how much those will cost to operate and keep flying compared to a new TBM? Not to mention parts availability, training and insurance. Then, good luck selling it down the road. "Twins", especially old ones are a dying breed.
It is kind of sad but oh so true. I wouldn't have any hesitation hopping into a TBM and flying it right now, the Commander or MU2 would require some serious training to feel competent in them. Dispatch reliability comes into question, with a new TBM 54k buys your first five years maintenance, no surprises, good parts availability, and oh such a fun aircraft to fly. I fear many of these twins that look so affordable right now to purchase are going to be increasingly difficult to keep flying and you'll have trouble giving them away in another ten years.
