I've got 9.5:1 pistons I guess it puts out 320hp with the alternate air filter bypass. I'm running regular mags. This picture is right after level off and the CHTs cool to 350ish.

How do you like that AFS panel? My Lancair has the 3500. Complete junk wouldn’t trust it in a cloud. Soon to be Garmin

Soon to be Garmin Yes, AFS panel is VFR amateur hour quality and will get a G3X touch sooner rather than later. It hasn't crapped out on my yet and is totally fine for VFR day.

Day VFR only is for sure. Mine gets a bad case of Turrets Syndrome in any turbulence. Odd thing is the flight director if followed keeps the correct pitch and bank. But horizon goes bonkers. Heading is consistently 10-15 degrees off. Regardless of how many times I calibrate it. The HSI/ADI overlay is a poor idea. A good ADI has the required info on it already.
Oh, Brad did the install. Not sure of the bearing of that. But you get the drift.

Haven’t had any glitches so far with the G3X in the Rocket. Most interfaces are reasonably self-explanatory. The install manual isn’t perfect but generally works.

I've been flying G3Xs for 5 years and have never had a glitch; truly awesome equipment.

Soon to be Garmin I don't know anything about the 3500 but the 5600 in my RV-8 has been solid. It isn't as intuitive for my Garmin-ized brain but it does what I need it to do (after I re-read the manual). My TXi is being installed in the Bonanza so I guess it isn't fair to say that it was worth it enough to wait for the Dunon version of my AFS. Both are good. John
