One negative of the plane, it gets chilly up front on long flights at high altitude. Even with cockpit heat on I was cold by the end of today’s flight. Manual mode will likely get you more heat up front. The airflow in the P180 is from the cockpit to the lav and out thru the outflow valves. Other airplanes (King Air) the air flows forward and then down to the crews feet, under the floor boards and then back again. (as I recall) Be careful with MAN Heat... it's easy to overheat the duct. You'll get a nice light for that.

If operating on a Part 135, the gear has an overhaul cycle of 6000/12 years. Dumb question, but is that whichever comes first? ie...if its at the 12 year mark but only has say 1000 cycles is it still due?

Afraid so. Whichever comes first. The cost of overhaul might be slightly less with less wear and tear.

The market looks like it's getting a bit picked over but don't just rely on Controller. Work the phones and good luck! Let any of us know if we can help with info. Lots to learn.

@Matt
I don't know who has one for sale, but I was just at Brodie's in KFTW and saw a beautiful one with a new paint job, new interior (saw pictures on the wall), and a new Garmin 500 series (?) avionics suite. That gray metallic and blue exterior was incredible IMO!

Piaggio needs to pay Adam some sort of advertising/promotional fee. The wife and I ran up to Denver and back earlier this week. With TAC AIr's inexpensive fuel and a nice wind we were able to complete the round trip for less than 1100 dollars fuel cost. That was 600.00 CHEAPER than Southwest Airlines!! And she had a "bit" more room..... what a BIRD! Seriously why are people paying more money to go slower in a smaller cabin with higher cabin altitude in louder planes? PC12? Mustang? King Air?
