Great video. This thing will be flying itself soon. The innovation in that G2 SF50 makes my Pilatus look like an old MU2. The future of the SF50 is non pilots getting out of commercial air travel. You see the new "executive interior". Guess who that's being marketed to. They're gonna sell a million of them.

Definitely addresses a number of the identified issues with the SF50 (max altitude, cabin noise, even range/payload/speed are addressed albeit only slightly). Pricing is 2.75 mm as I understand it. Looks like a noticeably more polished product, which is saying something. They will start delivering shortly. Side note on the "faster processors" in the G3000 deck - apparently Garmin has upgraded the G3000 with the faster chips used in the NXi and various vendors are rolling these out. Piper's 2019 M600's will have the faster G3000 version as well. When I demo'd the M600 I didn't notice that the G3000 was slow (unlike a legacy G1000), but apparently the newer G3000 is even faster on the refresh/resolution improvements. I definitely would buy a Vision Jet G2 if I could afford one. Alas, all I could afford in turbine land is a legacy Meridian ... *laughing* Life is good all around if you're flying!!

range/payload M500<SF50<M600<=TBM 930<PC12
Speed: M500<M600<=PC12NG<SF50<TBM
High hot and short capability: SF50<TBM<M600<M500<PC12NG.
Price: M500<SF50<M600<TBM<PC12
Technology: PC12<M500<SF50=M600
Still no clear winner, is going to be cost and mission dependent, and the value of toys. Love the innovation though. I think the fact that these planes are so easily compared speaks volumes. A guy at my airport has a Phenom 300 and an SF50. He's not a pilot and is in that SF50 constantly. I halfway feel he only owns the Phenom to prove he has "real" jet. Makes him feel better about taking the SF50.

I wonder if the RVSM rule change impacted the release of the G2 to 31k. But my question is why 31k, like the pending Cessna Denali why not higher say 35k. I would think there is still performance left to climb.

I would think there is still performance left to climb. Likely precedent. There are plenty of planes certified to 31K with a single turbine. Tim
