And now for a non-sequiter...
Damn I Love this airplane!
So I guess I haven't flown in cooler temps below GW for a while. Blasted off yesterday...Blew through rotation speed before my scan came off the engine guages back to the airspeed. Leaped off the runway and held 2,000 fpm (even climbing at 160 KIAS!) All the way thru about 8k...Ate a 50kt headwind and still made destination in great time.
Love my A*.
Forrest - please give heads up if you do a CBE run!

Today I flew my 700P and I took off for a 45 minute flight with 80 gallons on board. I had 22 in the main and 34 in each wing. After I flew about 30 minutes the main went below 10 and I got a low fuel light. I still had 22 or so in each wing but it looked like the main was dropping a lot faster. I put it in double crossfeed until final and did not have an issue. I don't remember seeing that much still in the wings but having the main drop down. Is that a problem? I got concerned that I would empty the main and still have fuel out in the wings. Is that even possible? I have about 1000 hours in the plane now and today was my first low fuel light. Eric, Yes possible. I had the main drain much faster then the wings on the first flight of my Aerostar actually, I even had the seller with me (we were flying it to AAC for some work). Both the seller and Jim Christy at both said either the vent lines were plugged or leaks at the gas caps. Start with the easy one and replace the o-rings on the gas caps. No idea, if these are the only causes; just apparently the "common ones" Tim
Thanks to everyone's response. I bet it is the fuel cap oring as I have seen some evidence of fuel around the center shaft. I will change the cap orings and let everyone know if that helped.
