Thanks Arlen - for my budget this is the only way I could have a Continental 550, low airframe time and glass. We already insure a lot of Cirri and the company focus is really kerosene burners so I'll keep hanging out here during my breaks Glad you guys had your fun, I'm excited about quick climbs to 10K and fast cruise to go see my clients while having the safety of active traffic, digital AP, and engine monitoring.

Ale, Maybe you can trade up for a Cirrus Vision SF50 - at least it has a V-tail.

Now if you wanted a Cirrus no problem. Its a nice color BTW. But I find it hard to believe the Cirrus is cheaper to own. Rick, I may have missed it, but I don't believe Alejandro ever said that the SR22 he bought is cheaper to own/operate than a Bonanza. I did read, however, that he called the purchase a "business decision" and said it was the "best bang for the buck." Taking into account what else he could have bought for the money he probably spent, I can see why he would say that quite frankly. Here is the airplane he bought: http://www.controller.com/listingsdetai ... 271921.htmThat is a lot of airplane for an asking price of $199k (and I'm sure the deal was done somewhat south of that number, as most deals don't consummate at the full ask as we both know). He is getting a 600 hour airplane that is 10 years old with TKS, glass panel, DFC 90 autopilot with GPSS and altitude pre-select, active traffic, XM weather/music, etc. Again, that is a LOT of airplane, especially considering that it will go 180 knots ROP and 172ish LOP. -Neal

Spot on Neal. Honestly the newest Beechcraft with a 550 and nice avionics was about 20 years old, not anywhere near glass capable and 3000-4000 hours flown (at my budget!) This is silly but I cannot believe the F33 was made with the center column post-84. Small detail but it really pisses me off

Small detail but it really pisses me off I know nothing about the 2003 sr22s, but a quick search lead me to find not one over 3000 hours. They must just self destruct at 2999. I have toured the plant in Duluth, Mn. Very cool..... hopefully they make it!!! Nice ride!
