It’s a blast…. The side controls are a direct linkage that is a swivel around a point. It’s very responsive and trims out to where you can just rest your hand against it.

It’s fast, fun and efficient.

+1 !

Another +1

The only real complaint is heavy control forces in roll. The aircraft has a servo tab on the left aileron and trim tab on the right. It could really use more boost from that servo tab.

Despite the heavy control forces, the ailerons are still responsive. There's no play, they just require more input force.

Yaw is just the opposite, minimal rudder force required. I was shocked that there was no rudder trim and expected high rudder forces on takeoff and in climbs. Despite 310 hp and 178 knots between stall and Vne, you hardly notice the rudder pressure required ever.

The 300/350/400/TTx has one of the highest wing loadings of any piston single, I think the highest. That along with the high maneuvering speed, responsive controls, and utility category makes it smooth out the bumps better than anything I've ever flown.

Sean Tucker even did a few air shows in the plane.

I would agree. When I first flew it, I thought it felt heavy but realized how heavy the plane actually is. My Navaho handles the bumps great and to my surprise, so does the TTX. Better then any single engine I’ve owned.

The rudder input is minimal and with rudder hold, and a great auto pilot, I feel like a systems manager. It’s fun to hand fly and equally fun to just sit there and listen to XM radio too…..

I actually didn’t tell the whole story though. 8 weeks ago I bought a 2008 400 and did my insurance training in. I loved the plane so much I took advantage of Van Bortels 30 day money back guarantee and turned it back in for a TTX. I really wanted the G2000 vs the G1000.

I can’t say enough about Van Bortel. What the say is what they do. You’ll pay top dollar, but you get what you pay for. Their staff along with the owner George is great. Truly honest people providing an excellent service to the aircraft community.

Well I did it. I added another to the hangar. 2015 TTX with 800 hrs. I’ve got about 35 hrs. In it now and every time I fly it I get a bigger smile.

The Navaho is great when I need to take a bunch of people but when it’s the wife and I, this is my new go to.

It’s hard to believe the speed and range are close to the Navaho but 1/3 the fuel.

The G2000 avionics with the GFC 700 auto pilot is great…..

Thats my old bird! She's a beauty and I hated to sell it but it wouldn't fit in the hangar with my Citation.....enjoy!
