Here is a PERFECT example of how a $20k G3X system could save this airplane. Dual EFIS with digital autopilot and ADS-B. Everything works and great customer support.

I will NEVER buy a plane that is labeled G-Anything. You are buying an airframe based on it's ability to have the avionics supported. Just look at all the G1000 guys with non-waas and their frustrations. Ridiculous.

AGREED 10000%. I look at my non-glass P Baron as a total blessing. I think it won't be too long before I can triple screen G3X Touch it and have the best Baron panel on planet earth. If you have a factory glass panel, you are forever married to that system.

Does the G3X support turbojet engines?

yes, there's an L39 at my field waiting for a 50% buy-in (150-175k last i heard) with full G3X/GTN setup

i think i'm old and wise enough to know that i need the plane i can fly everyday to be the fastest thing i've ever flown, i don't want to tarnish that

I have a question and maybe it's already been asked, but...would it be possible to move an Eclipse into the Experimental category and do what ever you want to it? What would be the drawbacks?

No easy way to do that, unfortunately.

You'll need that support. One of the flight schools I teach at has a bunch of LSA Remos GX's with the Dynon. They are sending them back a few times a year for repair. One of the planes is on it's fifth one, they crap out every summer. Decent units when they work, but reliability issues galore and no comparison to Garmin, IMHO.

Is that Machias Valley? It looks like it, and I parked next to an Eclipse there in 2012, but it was a different tail number (N500??).

Garmin g3x is way better than a dynon having owned both
