Glad to take a pile of people from the Dallas area in the 421 as well!
Alex, thanks for inviting all of BT to your home! ;->
Robert Hmmmm.... I may be in hot water with my wife if all of BT stays at my home, but I promise to make the travel to MMQT a breeze. I can also set some hotels and/or houses up in San Miguel.

An MEA of 13,000 will be just around where you'll start finding ice and your Bo will start running out of breath so your options will be limited. VFR it is fine and a nice scenic flight. The leg with high terrain is from TMN to MMQT. Good thing is you will get to use the SVT on that nice panel of yours.

Any one of the first three weekends in November works for me Alex!! maybe fly down Thursday and return Sunday. I sure wish the runway was open in San Miguel. How cool would it be to bring 12-15 planes to the new airport to show the economic benefit of a 5,000' runway.

Yeah the MEA's are a little high there like 14-15 like Alex said but if you can go VFR its way lower. I'm planning on going last week of August. Going to visit my missionary friend about an hour north of Queretaro. You can ride along and I'll leave you with Alex or you can come with us. Or if you want a co pilot nav I'll ride back down with you in the red bo sometime!

Thank you sir. As you know, I'm not afraid to go high. Came back from Ca or AXZ (cant remember) at 17,500. IN fact, I kinda like it, as long as ATC doesn't think I'm a King Air and slam me down in 15 miles.

Although our Baron is back in Uruguay, I live in Mexico City and I am looking to buy a 414 with STOL (for Uruguay as well), so I am entitling myself to this reunion!!!
If you are in the mood for some real short field you can try your luck at Valle de Bravo airport, 2600ft at 7500ft altitude (MX69). Just kidding! this is not a strip for a 340 regardless of STOL.
BUT if you do come to Valle de Bravo I have a nice house there with 4 rooms to accommodate fellow BTers.
November works for me! That is very generous Felipe! I cant wait to meet some of you guys!

November works for me! Hi Felipe - interesting... we (my family) are building a place in Valle de Bravo, and a lot of my cousins and uncles are very active hang-glider/parapente pilots and have a school there. Do you know Vico or Miguel? Here are some pictures from a cousin flying his C182 into Valle. Beautiful country, but certainly challenging. The runway is short, narrow and high, surrounded by a lot of terrain and trees. Sometime ago, someone (not very smart) went in there with a C421 - he got it in, but ended up in the tress trying to depart. Valle is a really nice spot though, but for most of us, you need to drive to get there.
