Well, here is my last update from the last two days I spent working on the plane. The first day we added close outs for the horizontal to finish it off and assembled the landing gear. The next day we put finishing touches to the tail structure and then attached the landing gear to set the tow and trim the openings for the wheels to have a snug fit. EVERYONE does this part at Lancair in their jigs. It's part of what you pay for when you buy the kit. It's the rest of the work that people do in their garages.

I was really just thinking about any plane, not this model in particular. Seems like you'd have to use a precision jig to get everything lined up right, but most kits are built without them.

A question on the pressurization. What is the P differential? I assume a variable rate controller. Who's the OEM for the pressurization system?

Ok, I'm trying to narrow down the paint scheme of the plane. I know the colors I want to use. I'm combining the colors from a pair of classic cars I'm restoring. It's a bit more out there as far as combinations go but I kinda like that sort of thing, lol. Here are the two primary colors I'd use. There is a possible third which would be a charcoal color. Attachment: lp700_36.jpg Attachment: BMW-M6-Cabrio-F12-AMI-Leipzig-2012-San-Marino-Blau-09.jpg Here are a few schemes I'm considering. Attachment: EVO ISO 5.png Attachment: EVO ISO 5-1.png Attachment: GA ISO GRAPHITE.png Attachment: GA w graphite.png These last two schemes you'd just have to imagine my colors on these designs. lamborghini colors are crap, don't go that route- Ferrari or Porsche have classic colors that have some history/heritage
if you're looking for a red, rossa corsa or rossa dino
i like that you are putting that level of though into it though, since most of your body is continuous panels, you could explore a three stage paint which a lot of planes aren't really able to do due to different panels and sections resulting in various finishes
i wanted to do a bianco fuji pearl white but my paint shop said without shooting it all in one go, it would not blend well at all.....i lust after an evolution for a lot of reasons, being able to do fancy multi stage paints is one of them Are you saying Lambo colors are crap because they don't hold up or you just don't like their colors? Personally I love this color. It's orange, not red. Right up my alley!
