Looks great. I can’t quite bring myself to add strut cuffs. My bottom right grommet needs replacement, the price of which leads one to consider them, but I haven’t caved yet.

I switch wheels and floats seasonally, and cuffs would be one more item to work around.

How easy do I expect configuration changes to be? I’m considering new carpet, and am already imagining portals in the carpet aligned with the inspection covers that are over the main gear bolts. Possibly oversized kick plates over the carpet that would hide some access flaps.

Had my 185 in the Bahamas all November supporting my sailboat! I was well behaved and didn’t land in salt but very tempting. What great machines! (I have no clue why my pics come upside down  )

My A185F will actually do that trip non stop although I've never tried it. I have 84 gal usable in the mains, and 23 gal usable in the internal flint tanks (added by the previous owner). I can run LOP at 10.5 gph on the IO-520.

Longest day in the saddle for me is 6:40 on the 185. I wanted to avoid a fuel stop. Landed with 45 mins reserve. I wasn´t as bad as I thought it would be. Sandwiches, fluids and travel johns and you can go the distance. The V brace is excellent for stretching.

patrick

I bet I'd think the same of your citation. You do have to use your feet to keep the pointy end errr..... forward?

I have a 185 and a Citation. No comparison re which one requires more skill to land and tie down.

He’s had it what a month not even? It’ll feel like an old friend a year from now.

Demands full attention every landing yes always.
