There are too many of them out there to be competitive on the market if trying to sell one, I can't buy something I can't sell- so I avoided.
I still bought a plastic plane though, but, I think some of you guys argue for the sake of arguing, I own a metal plane too, and I'm indifferent- they both have their pros/cons, which one is better? the one I happen to be flying at any given time- I could make money on mine. Right now. In a week. Neal gets the credit.

Quote: You'd be a fool to drop $800K on a piston plane. Having come very close to doing exactly that, I have to agree with you. In the absence of a 100LL solution, making huge investments in anything powered by big bore CMI/Lycoming takes a certain willingness to disbelieve your own spreadsheets. I wonder what Cirrus sales people say to prospects when they bring up the fuel issue.

I don't know about that - 15 pages on the "convert" thread & 8 (?) on the last pull thread. There is a lot less opposition now.

May I ask which Cirri you have in your logbook?
Best, Absolutely ZERO Jesse and that's why I never mentioned any of the emotional issues such as "feel, flying quality, maintenance or fuel usage". If I ever get the opportunity I'll certainly take it, but other than Nate I know of no one that owns one.

Cirrus has enough modern airframes in the market that I would bet that they will a offer a factory retrofit for their older airframes.

I was half joking. I enjoy ability to read about so many other things. Just the cirrus thing keeps coming up.
